Chae
Jun 'Glass ball'
He is a 1st Korean residents in Japan and a rare
artist who is maintaining the wholesome critical spirit to the reality
which a man of today is losing. "Glass ball" 2001 oil
painting. This work is a work which showed his real ability. The
woman in a picture is the symbol of people who lives this time.
A marble is children's toy made with glass. In Japan, people often
say to someone who does not distinguish the truth, "Do you
have marbles in your eyes?". We can interpret this work as
a strong irony to the people of today who have lost the critical
spirit. He held the solo exhibition in December, 2002. We are introducing
his exhibition also in our site.

Park,Il-Nam 'GAP'
Although he is a 2nd Korean residents in Japan, he is an artist
who has a racial molding sensibility richily. Although his works
are more and more abstract, the peculiar nature has breathed under
the paints without appearing. We can understand the difficulity
which live as Korean in Japanese society in his way and means
to paint to his canvas the racial traits and the peculiar nature.
He held the solo exhibition at another hall in 2002 AREUM. Moreover
he also held solo exhibition in December, 2002. We are introducing

He is an artist of 2nd Korean residents in Japan and his painting
technique is peculiar to the East Asia which is the drawing by
India ink to a paper. The second World War, the Korean War, the
Vietnam War and the cold war structure that resulted in relation
of detestation and that concentration urged a Japanese and peoples
of Korean society to a quick change of a sense of values. Memory
of people had to be weathered by new memory as sufficient digestion
was not carried out. He expressed in a picture such memories by

Kim,Yong-Suk 'a crossing'
Statement
I have always asked myself about Where I'm from? Who I am? or
Which country is my country?, and Which group I'm belonging to....?'
and I thought that to find the answer of these questions will
help to establish my identity.
But among so various classifications or groups such as national,
racial and color,religion...in the world, I noticed the conmpletely
non-classified existence is in the world.
Some one, who belongs to the big classification, own the power
, which the big one has, jointly with others , and also he/she
can be protected by the power of the big classification.
But another one, who belongs to nothing, he/she need to get the
power by himself/herself.
To get the power by myself, I keep drowing pictueres and impressing
my idea.
